Makes a noise like it is trying to feed paper through. Might print might not so I unplug it and plug it in again to print.

What did you do, what advice did you give?
To contact HP to find if software problem. Reset printer drivers if that doesn’t work connect with a cable otherwise contact HP.. Update: problem turned out to be that HP had confused the visitor’s accounts on 2 different email, addresses, one of which was cancelled. The ink cartridge therefore wasn’t recognised on the cancelled account. Eventually sorted after days/ weeks of calls with HP.
