David cleaned hoover, reset charging system, cleaned contacts etc,.
Reported problem partly due to use of MAX mode, which draws more battery current and causes system to stop after a few seconds (by design once battery has deteriorated.
Cleaner functions all now working except Max mode. Cleaner now functional and usable, but limited battery capacity (a minute or so in normal mode).
Recommended battery change needed for full perfomance on this old cleaner.

Do you have any suggestions for other repairers of this (or similar) product?
Dyson tech seems very effective, but requires thorough maintenance and cleaning of all components and filters.
Watch out for systems that have been used extensively in MAX mode as the battery system will deterioriate more rapidly in this envirorment - and charging system will be affected.
IFIX guides have info to reset charging system to help recover from this.
Ultimately older equipment with overworked battery will benefit from a battery upgrade.
