Defect found
Motor jammed and not spinning freely. From the plastic shards present inside the motor casing, my asumption is that the cage has failed on one of the motor bearings, causing the bearing to fail and partially sieze.
Customer advised that-
1) Failure of a bearing may well have damaged other parts of the motor. We do not have the time or equipment in the RC to strip the motor to try to replace the bearings.
2) It is a specialised motor type (4200rpm 800V permanent magnet brushless, based partially on info on the label on the outside of the treadmill). With no motor manufacturer details on the motor itself, going back to the supplier of the treadmill (if possible) might be the only way to source a replacement motor.
3) Customer advised that if he can find a replacement motor, we canm probably help to fit it.
