Removing the turntable platter only gives a very limited view into the machine, not enough to do any repairs.
Access for repair would require (I believe) removing the platter and then the base of the cabinet. A significant amount of time needs to be allocated to this before any actual repair work could be done.
In the absence of any obvious electrical faults (e.g. a loose wire), this machine would need electronic expertise and equipment to diagnose the fault.
