Fabric has come out of top grip and needs putting back in.

1) Fabric grip rail on one side (which had already been bent open + closed by the customer in places) opened up.
2) Glue applied (multi-purpose builders glue).
3) Rail crimped closed again with vice grips.

A large bench vise with soft non-scratch jaws would be a big help.
Use a steel rod slightly larger than the slot width of the rail. Use this in the vise to open the slot evenly all the way along. Using screwdrivers or other levering tools bends the rail unevenly, which is almost impossible to strainghten out afterwards.
