Has the product been repaired?
Yes
What did you do to repair it?
Owner obtained new rotary switch and button set. Rotary switch was replaced, but press buttons were not compatible so original had to be kept. Took about 6 hours though as I was unable to find a maintenance manual which might have explained how to get at the back of the switches. Had to remove probably about 60 screws to get to the switches, many very fiddly to remove/replace.
What did you do, what advice did you give?
Repair would be difficult, but later found a replacement button for order on the Magimix website and advised the customer, who has ordered the button and will return at the next RC to have it fitted by repairers,
Reparability of product (1 = difficult, 10 = easy)

Did you use repair information?
No, couldn't find it
Do you have any suggestions for other repairers of this (or similar) product?
Make diagrams as you go and keep screws separate as there are numerous different types.
Replacement parts from Magimax are slightly different for new toasters than older model (although this may be oversight by customer), and the press buttons are not compatible (rotary button is).
