checked and cleaned battery connections, replaced battery. took apart and check as much as possible with available resources. installed hour and minute arm, which clock mechanism out of clock, and was working. user reassembled and reported that clock is working now. will keep an eye to see if it is a permanent fix or temporary one. lol. possible issues: hands not seated and binding, battery connection
