Has the product been repaired?
Yes
What did you do to repair it?
The minute hand snapped at the point where the arm extends from the circle during attempts to push it back onto the spindle. At this point it was decided that the item would be taken home for repair due to the lack of suitable tools.
The minute hand was super-glued back onto the circle making it slightly (~2mm) shorter after rubbing the parts on emery cloth to expose bare metal for good adhesion. The battery contact was bent back into shape to make good contact. A battery was inserted and the clock tested for 12 hours.
