Wrong adapter used and cracked casing - Shaver adapter used - not an EU adapter - pin specification is different, internal contacts burned and damaged, inappropriate 13A fused shaver socket - should not be use - use UK visitor adapter with appropriate fuse.
Once diagnosed, a UK plug was fitted. When tested found rotating cable contact was crackling and irrepairable damage was found.
