Replaced the sensor but first had to remove the pop riveted base. When back together used ordinary scews for the base.

Buy the touch sensor board and replace it or you can attempt to troubleshoot the circuit board and do component repair. It was quicker to replace the whole sensor. Bought two from China for $AUD5.50, including p+h
