Getting lamp holders from hardware stores is unlikely, most are pendant cord grip types. Amazon stocks them but dearer than they should be. Beware there is no reliable single standard thread for threaded lamp holders, 9mm, 10mm and 1/2" are all common and not cross compatible. Measure carefully and try with a metric nut (nb metric nuts are not the same pitch as threaded lamp rods but they give a good size indication).
